"I'd like to see Essoldo Cinema being used in a new different way. May be a restaurant can be there."
"The town is missing night life. There is not that much to do around here. We need more evening activities."
"My friends and I hangout in the mall sometimes but mostly, we just go to the Victoria park and play. There is not a cool place where we can hangout."
"I would like to see more of a community environment and redevelopment of Essoldo. Trees are being cut-off on Chester road by the council.They believe it disrupts the 'urban grain.'"
"I have to take my family to the Quays every weekend. It gets a little annoying that we have to travel far for little things. I would like to see more social spaces, evening life and places to eat. More greenery around would be nice too. Utilise the canal."
People are concerned with trees being cut down on Chester road. They want to see more green spaces in the area as they find green spaces mesmerising. They would like to see more of a community environment and redevelopment of Essoldo. For them, the town is missing evening/night life as there are not many evening activities to be part of. Therefore, they would like see more evening activities, social spaces and places to eat as well a beautiful place where all of this takes place.
From the data we obtained from the community event at Stretford Public Hall, it is very evident to see which spaces are most desirable. There is a strong link between the different generations and their shared interest in restaurants. Restaurants, DIY, Farmers' markets and Cinema are the top 4 consumer spaces.

1:1 Project Event
This one day long event was organised at Stretford public hall to understand the people of Stretford and discuss their issues associated to consumer spaces. My team and I gathered data related to consumer spaces through range of activities that allowed us to refine our architectural ideas in depth. Below is the key information to aid my individual project.
From the data found in the event, I have concluded that there is a preference for the Essoldo site over Stretford public hall. This is one of the main reasons why I have chosen Essoldo site for my building design.
